The Asian Le Mans Series season opener has come and gone. Looking back at the weekend, the Ferrari factory drivers had overall mixed results. At one extreme, Antonio Fuoco had a great weekend by winning both races overall in LMP2. At the other end, Alessio Rovera failed to finish the first race and finished 7th in class in the second race. 7th is not all that bad, but to be sure he wanted to come away with more from that weekend.
We are in the midst of the traditional offseason, but there is plenty to look forward to coming up. The biggest news as of this writing is the entry lists for IMSA’s 24 Hours of Daytona, the World Endurance Championship, and the European Le Mans Series have all been released. This helps flush out where one can expect to see the Ferrari factory drivers.
At Daytona, Rovera and Calado will be in the Triarsi Competizione GTD Pro car. The exciting entry is Risi Competizione, with Serra, Rigon, and Pier Guidi all sharing the car. That’s 3 factory drivers in the same car which is stacking the deck a bit. Lilou Wadoux is making an appearance in the AF Corse GTD entry. The surprise entry is that Yifei Ye will be making his Daytona debut in GTD for Triarsi Competizione.
In the European Le Mans Series, there are no Ferrari factory drivers listed, but most driver slots are listed as TBC so that should be little cause for concern. There are 6 Ferraris entered in the GT3 class, as well as an AF Corsa backed LMP2 Pro/Am entry. All in all, plenty of opportunities for Ferrari factory drivers to get in that series in 2026.
Finally, in the WEC, stability in the factory hypercars was a key point for Ferrari. The same driver crews are returning. Yifei Ye returns to the 83 private AF Corsa entry, but no other drivers are confirmed alongside him at this time. In LMGT3, Alessio Rovera and Davide Rigon will be in the two 296s.
